Apply on rcms.mahafood.gov.in, the official portal of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Maharashtra. Apply for a new ration card on rcms.mahafood.gov.in (the NFSA page for Maharashtra links to it), or through Aaple Sarkar (Demand for new ration card). Apply for a ration card in Maharashtra online

  1. Apply for a new ration card on rcms.mahafood.gov.in (the NFSA page for Maharashtra links to it), or through Aaple Sarkar (Demand for new ration card)
  2. Fill in the family details and upload the documents
  3. Note the application number
  4. The Rationing Officer or Circle Officer processes it within the time limit

Documents to keep ready

  • Aadhaar of every family member
  • Proof of address, e.g. electricity bill or rent agreement
  • Income certificate or self declaration (for PHH or AAY)
  • Passport size photo of the head of family (usually the eldest woman)
  • Bank passbook
  • Surrender or deletion certificate if you had a card in another state or area

Yellow, Orange and White cards as listed on Aaple Sarkar.

Under NFSA the state issues AAY and PHH cards (nfsa.gov.in).

The Aaple Sarkar service lists a time limit of 30 days. e-KYC is checked on cards: Maharashtra rules say a card without e-KYC is deactivated after a two month period.
