Steps to correct your ration card
- Open the correction or modification service on your state portal
- Enter your ration card number and log in with the registered mobile number
- Select the detail to correct and upload the proof, such as the Aadhaar or the school certificate for a name
- Submit and keep the acknowledgement number
- Check the status and get the corrected card or e-card after approval
Official routes
- West Bengal: offline Form 5 corrects details (Form 9 is for a duplicate card).
- Bihar: a user manual covers correction of an existing ration card on RCMS.
- Jharkhand: choose Correct a name in ERCMS, take the acknowledgement, print the form and submit it at the block supply office.
- Delhi: update through e-District, a Mobile Sahayak or the Circle office.
- Chhattisgarh: data correction is a service on the food portal.
- Uttarakhand: Modification in Ration Card is a service on fcs.uk.gov.in.
