Check the amount on the official portal, or ask the office, before paying.
- The MCA FAQ says companies with authorised capital up to ₹15 lakh pay no MCA filing fee on SPICe+. Stamp duty differs by state and is still payable.
- State stamp duty figures in the table are from an older MCA table and are not officially verified. Check the current rate on the MCA eStamp page before you pay.
- A chartered accountant or company secretary usually certifies the form; their fee is private, not a government fee.
- An OPC has one member and one nominee. A Private Limited company needs at least two directors and two shareholders.

Common reasons for rejection and how to fix them
| Reason | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| Proposed name rejected or too similar to an existing name | Reserve a different name and check it on the MCA name search first. |
| Digital signature does not match the director's details | Use a DSC issued in the director's own name with the same PAN. |
| Registered office proof missing or unclear | Upload a recent utility bill and an owner's NOC with the rent agreement. |
| Stamp duty or fee not paid correctly | Pay the consolidated challan generated by the form and attach the stamp acknowledgement. |
